Baltimore shooting At least two people were killed and dozens injured in a mass shooting in southeast Baltimore early Sunday morning. The incident occurred at a block party in the city’s Brooklyn neighborhood, according to authorities. CBS Baltimore reported on the tragedy.

Two victims are confirmed dead and three others are critically injured in a shooting that occurred after midnight, as reported by the Baltimore Police Department. During a news conference held several hours after the attack, officials stated that a total of 28 people were wounded at the block party, varying in age and condition. The injured individuals were subsequently hospitalized throughout the region on Sunday, while homicide detectives took charge of the police investigation.

However, investigators are currently examining video surveillance footage in order to identify one or more suspects, as reported by CBS Baltimore. Baltimore police officers received multiple calls reporting a shooting at approximately 12:35 a.m. Tragically, an 18-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 20-year-old man was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. Nine of the injured individuals were transported to hospitals from the location, while the remaining 20 victims made their way to different hospitals in the area.

This information was shared by Baltimore City Police Commissioner Richard Worley during a press briefing on Sunday.

“When officers arrived, they found multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds. We located one female adult deceased on the scene. Nine additional victims were transported from the location to area hospitals,” stated Worley during the news conference. Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott also made an appearance at the briefing.

“We will not stop until we find those cowards who decided to just shoot dozens of people, causing two people to lose their lives. And we’re going to be here until we find them, until we hold them accountable, until they are held accountable for the actions they took because we cannot rest until they do so. Again, our thoughts and prayers are with the entire community and city,” Scott said.

Authorities have not identified any of the mass shooting victims by name.
